FAQs

What will I receive?

Digital files in both JPEG and PDF formats will be available for download upon purchase, allowing you to print at home or with assistance from a commercial printer.  No physical print(s) will be shipped or delivered by Blankspace Poster Co.

Do you offer physical prints?

Blankspace Poster Co. does not currently offer physical prints for purchase, however will do so in the future. Blankspace Poster Co. would be more than happy to accommodate those who can't wait!  Please contact us if you wish to enquire about this service.

Which print size should I purchase?

The print size simply comes down to your preference and the space and / or frame you are wanting to fill!  Blankspace Poster Co. currently offers four (4) generic metric print sizes: A5 (148mm x 210mm), A4 (210mm x 297mm), A3 (297mm x 420mm) and A2 (420mm x 594mm).  Our digital print file(s) are 'print ready' at a resolution of 300dpi/ppi, which means the quality remains the same irrespective of the chosen print size (and, providing files provided are not manipulated by a third party).

I have received the digital print file(s), what do I do next?

You can self-print at home, however the print quality will be dependent upon the printer and ink type.  For a high quality finish, Blankspace Poster Co. recommends that you seek the services of a commercial printer (i.e. Kwik Kopy and Snap etc). Companies offering printing services will have equipment to ensure a high quality print. Simply enquire to the chosen company, and transmit the digital print file(s) provided by Blankspace Poster Co. In most circumstances, companies offering printing services will have the flexibility to print JPEG and PDF formats, or the technical ability and knowledge to convert the file formats as needed to suit their equipment.

What material should I print on?

This is really down to your preference and desired look!  However, Blankspace Poster Co. is of the opinion that for best results the illustrations be printed on matt white paper/card stock at weight between 200-300gsm (if intend on framing, less than 200gsm would be suitable). If you are seeking the assistance of a commercial printer, these companies can also help with providing advice relating to paper type and weight based on your desired look and finish.
